Children In Motion

Children In Motion is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to the sponsorship and advancement of childrens' activity programs. Affiliated with VEGA Gymnastics, Virtuosity Performing Arts Studio and Moondance Music Studios, CIM supports two very important and worthy groups:

1. Underprivileged kids that would otherwise not be able to afford to participate in and receive the experience and benefit of these programs, and
2. Over-achieving athletes with a demonstrated commitment to accomplishment and leadership development through competitive athletics.


Children In Motion's stated objective is also twofold:

1. To sponsor 10% of the enrollment of these programs (currently, approximately 75 kids)
2. To underwrite the costs associated with the competitive seasons of these organizations (currently, approximately 60 kids compete in these programs).

The number of participants in each group is sure to grow each year, as each program becomes more widely known in the greater Vancouver area.

Currently, the costs associated with recreational participation in each of these programs averages approximately $600 per year.
Costs associated with the competitive season for each athlete averages approximately $1,050 each year.
At current enrollment levels, to underwrite the entire program requires approximately $105,000.

In order to achieve this significant fund raising commitment, Children In Motion is seeking individual and corporate sponsor partners. Sponsorship is a yearly commitment, and provides these participating athletes with the well-documented benefits that organized, structured and disciplined activities such as athletics, dance and music provide. In an environment of public school extra-curricular cutbacks and program reduction, it is more and more likely that children will be excluded from the benefits of these important programs. Children In Motion is committed to making these programs available to as many children as funding allows.

Named after the Olympic Medals, our program has four participation levels:

Bronze - Sponsorship between $500 and $2,499
Silver - Sponsorship between $2,500 and $4,999
Gold - Sponsorship between $5,000 and 9,999
Presenting Sponsor - $10,000 and up
